Title: What's Up with Telescopes?

Synopsis: The telescope is unquestionably the instrument of choice for stargazing. The last decade has seen significant advancement in the design and manufacture of telescopes to the extent that today it is possible to own a worthy scope at prices that are comparably modest. Our speakers this month will help you sort through the myriad of options in the market place to optimize your stargazing experience. The speakers combine decades of experience, a little science, and their unique perspective on the best scopes for various applications.

Though geared towards the novice, there will be ample content for seasoned gazers. The format for the talk combines a short slide program with hands-on interaction and demonstration of the various scopes and mounts available in today's market.
