Volunteer Registration
Use this registration if you are volunteering to support the event.
Registration is closed
Enjoy views of the stars and planets through telescopes presented by the Alachua Astronomy Club. Make smores and sip hot chocolate around the campfire.
Bring your family, friends, chairs and musical instruments. Admission for visitors to be determine at a later date. Proceeds benefit Friends of Paynes Prairie RSVPs appreciated:

AAC members bring a telescope (if you are able) and pack a picnic. Friends of Paynes Prairie will supply hot chocolate and smores.
Sun sets at 6:00 pm.
Volunteers should arrive no later than 5:00 pm.

From Gainesville go South on US 441, then left at the traffic light in Micanopy (CR 234). Go 3.8 miles on CR 234. Hickory Ranch will be on your left side.
"GO" or "NO GO" will be given at Noon on day of event.
