Santa Fe College is having a Moon party, and AAC members are invited to come and help!
This is the last of four consecutive total lunar eclipses that began two years ago. The eclipse is well-situated for observers in Florida. "The eclipse will be in southern Pisces at the Moon's descending node while the Moon is also at perigee." (RASC Observer's Handbook 2015)
The eclipse occurs on the evening of Sept 27/28 (Sunday night). Following are key events of the eclipse. (RASC Observer's Handbook 2015)
Set up telescopes no later than 7:45 pm. Total eclipse ends at 11:23 pm.
"GO" or "NO GO" will be emailed at noon on day of the event
