The solar transit of Mercury begins at 7:12am, reaches maximum transit at 10:57am, and ends at 2:42pm.
To ensure sufficient clearance above the horizon, observing officially begins at 8am.
When registering as a volunteer, please describe whether you are bringing a telescope that is safe for solar viewing.
