"Moon Over Melrose" at Shake Rag Art and Culture Center.
The Alachua Astronomy Club’s Lunar Observing Group (LOG) will hold a public lunar observing session. The evening begins with a short PowerPoint presentation outside near telescopes titled “Strange Lights on the Moon.” This will be followed by a few hours of lunar observing with volunteer AAC club-members training their telescopes on the craters Aristarchus, Plato and Gassendi.
Come join us and get to know your nearest celestial neighbor a little better while supporting the local art community with all proceeds benefiting the Shake Rag Art and Culture Center.
Science fiction author Joe Haldeman will have a book signing, there will also be Space Art for kids, Live Music and a Space Art Exhibit.
$7.00 Adults/Children under 18 free.
